Exuviae sind abgelegte Häute von Tier oder Reptilien. Sie sind Reststück eines Gestaltwandel- und Entwicklungsprozesses. In der Rauminstallation-Performance „EXUVIAE“ wird der Ausstellungsraum durch Hüllen von Menschenfiguren aus Aluminiumfolie bevölkert. Dieser Aluminium-Menschenhüllen hängen in regelmäßgen Abständen in Reihen von der Decke des Raumes herab und schweben in der Luft.

 Der Raum wird sich in eine Art Zuchtfarm verwandeln, die verlassen wirkt. Übrig geblieben ist nur eine Fülle von Hüllen menschlicher Wesen. Der Raum bildet einen Container, gefüllt mit „Inhaltslosigkeit“ und „Leere“.

EXUVIAE wurde sowohl im Aufführungsformat als auch im Ausstellungsformat variiert präsentiert.

„Diese Performance zeigt eine subtile Ironie, die in der Tanzszene ihresgleichen sucht. […] Innerlichkeit wird hier angedeutet, um dann wieder als Chimäre entlarvt zu werden. Oberfläche scheint banal und lädt sich dann doch mit beziehungsreicher Sensibilität auf. […] Es gibt nur wenige Künstler, die über eine solch komplex entwickelte Ästhetik verfügen.“

Exuviae are discarded hides from animals or reptiles. They are a remnant of a transformation and development process. In the space installation performance EXUVIAE, the exhibition space is populated by envelopes of human figures made of aluminium foil. These aluminium human casings hang in regular intervals in rows from the ceiling of the room and float in the air.

The Orangerie Theatre will turn into a kind of breeding farm that looks abandoned. All that remains is an abundance of shells of human beings. The room forms a container filled with »lack of content« and »emptiness«.

EXUVIAE was presented in a variety of formats, both performance and exhibition.

»This performance shows a subtle irony that is second to none in the dance scene. [...] inwardness is hinted at, only to be exposed again as a chimera. Surface seems banal and then charges itself with relationship-rich sensitivity.[...] There are only a few artists who have such a complex developed aesthetics.«
