In der szenischen Installation Still Lives melden sich die Dinge zu Wort und die Materie fängt an zu träumen. Auf einer monumentalen Plastikfolie treten Wellen eines archaischen Ozeans auf und ein umgekehrter Wasserfall lässt uns in eine regressive Dimension unserer Wahrnehmungswelt eintauchen.
Neben einem schwarz spiegelnden Loch tickt die Lichtuhr in einem konstanten Rhythmus und dreht sich wie die Sonne der Nacht. Zwei Frauen erscheinen und verschwinden immer wieder - sie versuchen Fragmente des Alltags, die nacheinander in einen leeren Raum eindringen, in den Griff zu bekommen. Ist das ein aussichtsloses Ritual oder aber ein absichtsloses Kinderspiel? Im Zustand zwischen Wachsein und Traum wird der Zuschauer zum Augenzeugen, der eine noch nie zuvor gesehene Landschaft der Imagination zu Sicht bekommt.
Der Titel Still Lives hat zwei Lesarten: Einerseits steht er für Stilleben im Plural und somit für die Darstellung regloser Gegenstände in einem malerischen Stil. Andererseits ist der Titel als Abkürzung von "it still lives" - es lebt noch - zu verstehen. Still Lives hofft und zeigt, dass unsere Sinne und Fähigkeiten, in allen Facetten der Welt Lebendigkeit zu spüren, noch immer in uns leben.

In the scenic installation Still Lives, objects make themselves heard and matter starts to dream. On a monumental plastic sheet, the waves of an anarchic ocean appear and an upside-down waterfall guides us as we dive into the regressive dimensions of our perceptions.
Against a reflective black hole, a light clock sets a constant rhythm, revolving like a nocturnal sun. Two women appear and disappear, trying to hold onto fragments of daily life which intrude into empty space. Is it a hopeless ritual or a pointless game? In this state between waking and dreaming, the spectator is an eyewitness to an imaginative landscape never before seen.
